Jennifer Reed Jennifer Reed came to painting later in life, although interested in Art and Sculpture at school her rollercoaster life took her on a different journey.

Whilst travelling in her early twenties, Jennifer found herself settling in Johanessburg, South Africa, where she trained as an Interior Designer. Returning to the UK with her husband and two small children ten years later Jennifer spent time investigating the psychology of colour and taking a decorative arts course in London.

Her love of colour led her through an alternative career as a personal presentation specialist in the 1980’s before a former client and art collector lured Jennifer back into interior design.

Although still working full time as a designer, Jennifer began spending more and more time painting, initially in watercolour, before making the transition to acrylic. Jennifer’s work became popular through Art and Craft Fairs throughout the UK and is now appreciated by customers in Europe and the USA.

A particular passion for Italy has, on occasion, found her bartering paintings for gently undulating palm shades on the beaches of Abruzzo and staging exhibitions of her work during the festivals there. Her favourite subject of vibrant Poppies has always been inspired by "The Poppy Waltz", a piece of music her composer father penned whilst she was a small child.
